2023第95屆奧斯卡還有一項哀傷的紀錄，就是單屆最多入圍多項卻零得獎的大遺珠，以往最多只有1994第66屆的兩部，為分別入圍八項的《長日將盡》（The Remains of the Day，1993）和七項的《以父之名》（In the Name of the Father，1993）。

本屆則打破這項紀錄，同時出現入圍九項的《伊尼舍林的女妖》（The Banshees of Inisherin，2022）、八項的《貓王艾維斯》和七項的《法貝爾曼》（The Fabelmans，2022）三部入圍前茅皆鎩羽而歸（還有六項的《TÁR塔爾》（Tár，2022）），成為史上最悲情的一年。

另外，最悲情的導演是馬丁史柯西斯（Martin Scorsese），《紐約黑幫》（Gangs of New York，2002）和《愛爾蘭人》（The Irishman，2019）皆以入圍10項掛蛋，史蒂芬史匹柏（Steven Spielberg)則以入圍11項和7項的《紫色姊妹花》(The Color Purple，1985）和《法貝爾曼》居次。
