又到了一年一度的奧斯卡得獎預測時間，比起往年，今年可說是真正大勢底定，《媽的多重宇宙》（Everything Everywhere All at Once，2022）成為史上第五部導演、製片、演員和編劇公會獎都得的電影，前四部《美國心玫瑰情》（American Beauty，1999）、《險路勿近》（No Country for Old Men，2007）、《貧民百萬富翁》（Slumdog Millionaire，2008）和《亞果出任務》（Argo，2012）皆獲奧斯卡最佳影片，堪稱勢在必得，也可望繼《危機倒數》（The Hurt Locker，2008）睽違13年後終於再有最佳影片獲得六項（或以上），關家永與丹尼爾薛奈特也可望繼原版《西城故事》（West Side Story，1961）的勞勃懷斯（Robert Wise）與傑隆姆羅賓斯（Jerome Robbins）和《險路勿近》（No Country for Old Men）的柯恩兄弟（Joel and Ethan Coen）成為史上第三組獲得最佳導演的搭檔。
女主角是《TÁR塔爾》（Tár，2022）凱特布蘭琪（Cate Blanchett）與《媽的多重宇宙》楊紫瓊之爭，凱特交出登峰造極的至今生涯最佳代表作，紫瓊則挾影片最強氣勢和重視種族多元的優勢，加上獲得關鍵演員公會獎的背書加持，可望成為首位獲得奧斯卡主角獎項的純正亞洲演員。
男主角是《貓王艾維斯》（Elvis，2022）奧斯汀巴特勒（Austin Butler）對上《我的鯨魚老爸》（The Whale，2022）布蘭登費雪（Brendan Fraser），前者獲英國電影獎肯定，後者獲演員公會獎推波助瀾，以強調東山再起的本屆風氣來看，使勁全力轉型成功的布蘭登應能勝出，亦終於首度入圍且應為最佳的《伊尼舍林的女妖》（The Banshees of Inisherin，2022）柯林法洛（Colin Farrell）可惜搶眼度不如前兩者，只能再接再厲。
女配角堪稱本屆最有變數的項目，目前看來為《黑豹2：瓦干達萬歲》（Black Panther: Wankanda Forever，2022）安琪拉貝瑟（Angela Bassett）與意外拿下演員公會獎的《媽的多重宇宙》潔美李寇蒂斯（Jamie Lee Curtis）二擇一，但獲得英國電影獎的《伊尼舍林的女妖》凱莉康登（Kerry Condon），也可能會漁翁得利出線，表演也相當精采的亞洲代表《媽的多重宇宙》許瑋倫和《我的鯨魚老爸》周洪都有可能成為黑馬。
男配角無疑是《媽的多重宇宙》關繼威的囊中物，將成為繼《殺戮戰場》（The Killing Field，1984）吳漢潤（前誤譯吳漢）後第二位獲得此獎的亞洲暨華裔演員，有趣的是，他的出道作正是和《殺戮戰場》同一年1984的《魔宮傳奇》（Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom，1984）。
劇本方面，《媽的多重宇宙》和獲得九項提名的非英語片《西線無戰事》（Im Westen nichts Neues，2022）應能分別在原著與改編項目出線，可能因為《西線無戰事》不符編劇公會獎資格，才讓《沒有聲音的女人們》（中譯書名，Women Talking，2022）得獎，以氣勢而言《西線無戰事》的勝算確實較大。
技術獎項得主也幾乎大致底定，只有攝影在《西線無戰事》和《貓王艾維斯》之間可能還有一絲懸念，但基本上《貓王艾維斯》的曼蒂沃克可望雙雙成為美國攝影師協會獎和奧斯卡最佳攝影史上首位女性得主。國際長片八九不離十就是亦入圍最佳影片的《西線無戰事》，動畫長片也是捨《吉勒摩·戴托羅之皮諾丘》其誰，以下為個人預測與選擇。
