歷經疫情摧擊的2021年，銀幕光影魔法並未收歇，舉凡奧斯卡、三大影展、金馬獎、院線、串流，不論美學，抑或其衍生之論戰，煙火各自燦爛，閃越冬令結界。從玩味到回味，邁入第十屆的MB電影獎，入圍名單熠然揭曉！十七個獎項，由《犬山記》拔得頭籌，囊括最佳影片、導演、男主角等九項提名，珍康萍睽違多年以這部西部情慾精品重返獎季寵兒之列，它要面對的勁敵首推奧斯卡、威尼斯雙料桂冠《游牧人生》，去年底於國內激起一陣小旋風的《偶然與想像》亦不容小覷。
這場競爭華語片並未缺席，馬來西亞奇片《南巫》搶入最佳影片圍內；芳齡十五金馬得主方郁婷突破重圍，憑《美國女孩》角逐影后，她要迎戰的勁敵包括奧斯卡影后法蘭西斯麥多曼、威尼斯影后凡妮莎寇比等；男演員則有古天樂以《梅艷芳》摯友劉培基一角入圍男配角獎，《月老》、《我沒有談的那場戀愛》也斬獲歌曲獎提名。
影帝獎項競爭激烈，共六位實力派戰將逐鹿，包括安東尼霍普金斯、麥茲米凱森、班奈迪克康柏拜區等。十部最佳影片就涵蓋八種語系，充分凸顯2021百花齊放的特色，疫情壓境下益發多姿增彩。
